Evaluation of the control effect of occupational disease hazard in a dairy farm breeding project in Xuzhou City
Objective This study was aimed at analyzing and evaluating the effects of occupational disease hazard control in a dairy farm breeding project, and exploring the effectiveness of occupational disease hazard prevention measures. Methods Data were collected and analyzed for this farming project in 2022,through occupational health investigation methods(raw and auxiliary materials, production processes, occupational disease protection facilities, emergency rescue facil-ities,personal protective equipment, and occupational health monitoring),occupational disease hazards testing, and other methods. Results The main occupational hazards in the project included chemical hazards(such as grain dust, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, iodine, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sodium hydroxide),physical factors(noise and high tempera-ture),and biological factors(Borrelia burgdorferi). The pass rate in occupational hazards testing reached 100.0%(the ammo-nia concentration in the feeding position exceeded the standard, and re-testing results were qualified after rectification).Oc-cupational health checkups did not indicate any contraindications or suspected cases of occupational diseases. The personal protective equipment was maintained at a 100.0%intact rate, and the occupational health checkups did not indicate any oc-cupational-related abnormalities. Conclusion This construction project(cattle breeding, industry code A0311)was con-firmed to pose serious occupational disease hazards, and the measures taken to control occupational disease hazards were demonstrated to be effective, thus providing a useful reference for protection against occupational disease in the dairy farm breeding industry.
