Research on antecedent configuration of knowledge advantages for innovative performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry under technology-organization-environment framework
Based on the technology-organization-environment(TOE)framework and taking 31 provinces in China as cases,the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method was used to analyze the linkage effect and driving path of technological,organizational,and environmental conditions on improving the innovation performance of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry from the perspective of knowledge advantage formation.The results indicated that a single knowledge advantage is not a necessary condition for leading to high-level innovation performance in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.The impact of knowledge advantage on the innovation performance of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has multiple concurrent causal relationships,resulting in three configurations of high-level pharmaceutical manufacturing industry innovation performance.Based on the core conditions of technological innovation capability,organizational operation scale,and government support,the three configurations are divided into two paths,namely the dual driven path of"technology environment"and the collaborative path of"technology organization environment".There are regional differences in the high-level configuration of knowledge advantages driving innovation performance in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.It is recommended that the government,pharmaceutical industry,and enterprises attach importance to and strengthen the deep integration and linkage effect of different factor combinations,and implement policies according to local conditions and needs,in order to establish and leverage knowledge advantages in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to improve innovation performance.
