Organoids are self-organized three-dimensional cultures derived from stem cells, which can simulate the physiological structures and cell compositions of organs and simulate their functions to a certain extent. However, limitations such as lacking vascularization structures and immune cells and low degree of organ systematization restrict the further development of organoid research.Co-culture is a technique in which multiple cells are cultured together in the same environment, which can reflect the physical or disease status in vivo more truly and remove the barriers of organoid research. At present, the organoid co-culture technology has made great progress in both methods and model types.Co-culture models such as organoid co-cultured with immune cells models, organoid vascularization and multi-system organoids co-culture can break through the limitation of traditional models and provide a new direction for the study of body physiology or disease pathogenesis. This paper mainly summarizes the research status of organoids, organoids co-culture models and co-culture technology,so as to give some reference for subsequent research.
