Discussion on the status and development trends of patient centered clinical trials
Patient centered clinical trials refer to a research method that prioritizes the needs and well-being of the patients. This concept emphasizes the core role of patients in clinical trials and has received great attention in the medical field. This concept stems from a deep reflection on the modern medical services, that is to say, does our healthcare system truly focus on and meet the needs of patients? Is there sufficient emphasis on the patient's perspectives and expectations in the medical decision-making process? The goal of patient-centered clinical trials is to ensure that the patients receive sufficient attention and respect throughout the entire research process, while simultaneously improving the quality and applicability of the trial. This paper introduces an overview and key areas of the concept of patient-centered clinical trial, explores the challenges that are currently faced, and aims to increase researchers'understanding of this concept.
