Scientific indirect comparison holds important practical value and has gained widespread clinical attention.In general,indirect comparison methods are classified into several categories based on whether there is a common control group(anchored or unanchored),whether adjustment for confounding factors is performed(adjusted or unadjusted),and the adjustment methods used(matching adjustment or regression adjustment).Different methods vary in application scenarios,implementation steps,advantages and disadvantages.There was a lack of systematic introduction to indirect comparison methods in previous domestic literature,leading to various issues when clinical and research professionals made use of these methods.Therefore,this article aimed to provide a systematic introduction to the main methods of indirect comparison.By combining classical cases,we emphasized the application scenarios and implementation steps of each method.Finally,through a comprehensive comparison based on advantages and disadvantages,we provided recommendations for the selection of indirect comparison methods.
