Co-Creation:Subject Field and Process in Rural Revitalization
The co-creation mode,in which social forces form a long-term interaction and integration with villages,is emerging as an important way of rural revitalization. This article begins with the three core elements of co-creation under the framework of"subject-field-process",using a case study of a typical village to propose a path and mechanism for realizing rural co-creation.The article argues that the participation of multiple stakeholders is a prerequisite for co-creation,the field is a supportive environment for co-creation to occur, and co-creation involves a dynamic process based on experimentation and iteration. The study reveals that the dissolution of behavioral tensions and the construction of multilevel coupling relationships between village stakeholders(including village cadres and villagers)and social stakeholders(including people who return to their hometowns)are the basis for the advancement of co-creation activities;village cadres, first secretaries and other figures play a key role in shaping the functioning of the village field;the village field is based on a bidirectional enablement mechanism for both internal village stakeholders and external stakeholders,a catalytic mechanism for communication, mediation and facilitation,as well as a mechanism for co-creation facilitation.Leveraging these two-way enablement and catalytic mechanisms, the village field fosters effective co-creation activity development.Through initial project exploration and ongoing business enhancement, the internal and external stakeholders in the village achieve value creation and value upgrading, furthering village development.
