Voice restoration of the advanced laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancer patients after total laryngectomy remains a great challenge for otolaryngologists in clinic.Our team has been committed to the surgical reconstruction of these patients for many years and has achieved certain results.The purpose of this paper is to introduce the methods and effects of voice reconstruction after total laryngectomy using strap muscles and infrahyoid myocutaneous flaps,and to review the advantages and disadvantages of other voice restoration methods.It is hoped to provide reference for clinicians to explore and solve this difficult problem.
