Study on Chemical Constituents of Volatile Oil from Lysionotus pauciflorus
OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents of volatile oil from Lysionotus pauciflorus. METHODS: Volatile oil was extracted from L pauciflorus using organic solvent-steam distillation. The chemical constituents of volatile oil were determined by GC-MS. The isolated compounds were identified by computer information retrieval. The relative percentage of chemical constituents was calculated using peak areas normalization. RESULTS: 57 compounds were identified from L. Pauciflorus, accounting for 85.334% of total amount of volatile oil. The contents of main compounds were linalool 13.935% , 1-octen-3-ol 7.283% , hexanal 4.172% , benzeneacetaldehyde 3.162% , 2-hydroxy benzoic acid phenyl methyl ester 2.956% , 3-octanol 2.900% , isobutyl phthalate 2.683% , trans-bata-famesene 2.607% , geranylacetone 2.436% , 2-pentylfuran 2.396% , Alpha-terpineol 2.393% , trans-2-hexenal 2.228%, hexahydropseudoionone 2.225%. CONCLUSION: This is the first time to adopt GC-MS method to study the components of volatile oil from L. Pauciflorus in the study.
