Problems and Countermeasures for Drug Purchase in Medical Institutions from Beijing Area
OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for promoting more scientific and reasonable drug purchase in medical institutions from Beijing area. METHODS: The situation of drug purchase in medical institutions from Beijing area was analyzed and compared with target and requirements, and then problems and reasons for drug purchase in medical institutions were analyzed to put forward relevant countermeasures. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The drug purchase of medical institution in Beijing is conducted with centralized bidding and purchasing model. Drug centralized bidding still has some problems, such as the same variety includes many specifications and has big difference in price; especially the prices of drug with different "identity" are different greatly, and medical institutions are willing to buy drugs with higher price but unwilling to buy lower ones. Relevant departments should improve the drug centralized bidding and purchasing system, reform the pricing mechanism and strengthen the management of rational drug use in medical institutions, to create the necessary conditions for realizing medical cost control and lightening the people' s burden.
