Analysis of allergen detection results in children with allergic diseases in Ningbo Women and Children's Hospital
Objective To analyze the distribution of allergens in children with allergic diseases in Ningbo Women and Children's Hospital,so as to provide scientific evidence for diagnosis,treatment and prevention of allergic diseases in local children..Methods A total of 32 545 children were collected from outpatient clinics and inpatient wards of Ningbo Women and Children's Hospital from April 2015 to December 2020.Western blot was used to detect allergen-specific IgE antibodies quantitatively.Results In the 32 545 children,the top 3 allergens were household dust mites(12 396 cases,38.09%),egg white(7 811 cases,24.00%),and cashew nut(7 450 cases,22.89%).The positive rate of IgE was 34.04%in boys and 29.46%in girls,with statistically significant difference(x2=75.255,P<0.05).The IgE positive rate was the lowest in 0-<1 year age group(20.36%),and the highest in the 7-<14 years age group(40.24%),increasing along with age with statistical significance(trend test x2=491.635,P<0.05).The IgE positive rate was high in August,July and September,being 51.28%,42.49%and 35.65%,respectively;and low in December,March and February,being 19.78%,21.12%and 23.39%,respectively.Conclusions The common allergens among children with allergic diseases in Ningbo are household dust mites,egg white and cashew nut.Allergies in children 0-<4 years may be mainly due to food allergens,and those in children 4-<14 years mainly caused by inhaled allergens.
