Construction, reliability and validity evaluation of individual social capital scale for couples under assisted reproduction
Objective The aim is to construct and test an individual-level social capital measurement scale for assisted reproductive couples, providing a scientific and effective assessment tool for targeted interven-tions.Methods Expert consultations were conducted, and the scale dimensions and items were initially de-veloped through a literature review.A total of 277 assisted reproduction couples were selected to examine the reliability and validity of the scale. Results The formal scale consisted of 4 dimensions and 11 items. The overall Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.83,with Cronbach's α coefficients for each dimension ranging from 0.67 to 0.88.The split-half reliability coefficient was 0.72.The principal component analysis method extracted four common factors, and the load value of each factor was>0.50,the common degree was>0.50,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 73.74%.The confirmatory factor analysis re-sults showed that the approximate root mean square error of the scale was 0.07,and the comparative fitting index was 0.96.Conclusions The developed individual-level social capital measurement scale for assisted reproduction couples has good reliability and validity, and can be used as a measurement tool in clinical prac-tice to explore the association between social factors and health outcomes in assisted reproduction popula-tions.
