Application of influenza vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine in patients with cardiovascular disease
This review summarizes the research on the administration of influenza vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine in patients with cardiovascular disease, both domestically and internationally. It covers studies on the effectiveness of vaccine administration in patients with acute coronary syndrome, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and heart failure,as well as existing guidelines or recommendations for influenza and pneumococcal vaccination in patients with cardiovascular disease. The results showed that the influenza and pneumococcal vaccination could significantly reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events and mortality risk and improve the survival rate of patients with cardiovascular disease. The protective effect of influenza and pneumococcal vaccine is more significant when the influenza and pneumococcal vaccines are administered together.Authoritative guidelines and consensus statements, both domestic and overseas, all recommend prioritizing vaccination in patients with cardiovascular disease and incorporating it into secondary prevention strategies. However, the accessibility of preventive vaccination services for the elderly in China is poor, and the vaccination rate among patients with cardiovascular disease is low.In the future, effective measures should be taken to strengthen health education and knowledge popularization, actively improve vaccine coverage rates, and improve the current status and prognosis of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
