The effects of exercise intervention combined with conventional treatment on adverse physical and psychological behavior in girls with central precocious puberty
Objective Exploring the alleviating and improving effects of exercise intervention on adverse physical and psychological behavior in girls with central precocious puberty(CPP)under conventional treatment. Methods 24 CPP girls who visited the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from August 25 to November 30,2023,were divided into an study group and a control group. The evaluation indicators included round shoulders, forward head posture, and factors in the Child Behavior Checklist. The control group received conventional treatment only, while the study group received three sessions of 1 h exercise intervention per week for 13 weeks, with 50 min of aerobic fitness training each session,in addition to conventional treatment.Independent sample t-tests were used to analyze the data before and after the intervention. Results After the exercise intervention, the study group(n=12)showed significant improvements in round shoulders(35.04±1.64),forward head posture(34.66±0.81),and psychological behavior(31.83±2.94)(t=9.183,5.496,22.190,P<0.05),while the control group(n=12)showed no statistically significant differences in round shoulders(37.09±1.50)and forward head posture(36.58±1.96)before and after thestudy(P>0.05).After 13 weeks of exercise intervention, there were statistically significant differences(t=9.183,5.496,22.190,P<0.01)in various indicators of adverse physical(t=-3.189,-3.125,P=0.004,0.005)and psychological behavior(t=-2.140,-6.276,-2.267,-3.442,-2.104,-2.569,-3.638,-2.395,-3.411,-7.860,P<0.05)between the study group and the control group, with the study group having lower indicators than the control group. Conclusions The research results indicate that a 13-week exercise intervention can improve the rounded shoulder, head forward posture, and psychological factors such as social withdrawal,schizoid-obsessive,delinquent,and cruel in girls with CPP,thereby improving their quality of life.
