Analysis of influencing factors on treatment outcomes of pulmonary tuberculosis in Gansu Province from 2018 to 2022
Objective To analyze the current status and influencing factors of the treatment outcomes of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Gansu Province from 2018 to 2022,and provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods The medical records of pulmonary tuberculosis patients from 2018 to 2022 were collected from the Tuberculosis Management Information System,a subsystem of the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of treatment outcomes for pulmonary tuberculosis. Results A total of 29 189 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis were investigated, with 27 923 cases successfully treated, resulting in a treatment success rate of 95.66%.The multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that male patients(OR=1.55,95%CI:1.38-1.75),patients aged 46-60 years old(OR=1.82,95%CI:1.37-2.42),patients aged over 60 years(OR=4.08,95%CI:3.13-5.32),retreatment cases(OR=1.69,95%CI:1.32-2.17),and patients with positive bacteriology(OR=2.18,95%CI:1.92-2.48)were more likely to experience unfavorable outcomes, while patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who are included in primary care management(OR=0.75,95%CI:0.67-0.84)were more likely to receive successful treatment. Conclusions The successful treatment rate of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Gansu Province is relatively high, but it is influenced by gender, age, retreatment, positive pathogens, and primary care management. Therefore, monitoring should be strengthened to improve the treatment success rate.
