After the formation of skin injuries,there can be pain and loss of function.The development of wound dressings with excellent performance is crucial for promoting wound repair.Chitosan and its derivatives have advantages such as low toxicity,good degradability,and biocompatibility.Their application in wound repair has become increasingly significant.In light of this,the authors of this article provided a review of four important biological activities of chitosan and its derivatives elaborating on the research progress in relevant molecular mechanism and aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the development of novel chitosan dressings.
