Objective To construct an evaluation index system for the construction of geriatrics in secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Guangxi,thus providing a theoretical evidence and scientific basis for evaluating the quality of geriatrics discipline construction in general hospitals.Methods A self-developed draft of evaluation index system was assessed by 20 experts in hospital management,geriatrics,and other fields,and the final index system was established through two rounds of expert consultations using the Delphi method.The weight value of each indicator was calculated using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)methods.Results The response rate of the inquiry form was 95%in the first round and 100%in the second round.The authority coefficients of the experts in rounds 1 and 2 were 0.866 and 0.908,and the coordination degrees of expert opinions were 0.593 and 0.634,respectively.In the established evaluation index system,the secondary hospital index system included 5 primary indicators,14 secondary indicators,and 42 tertiary indicators.In contrast,the tertiary hospital indicator system included 6 primary indicators,17 secondary indicators,and 53 tertiary indicators.Conclusion The established evaluation index system for the construction of geriatrics in secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Guangxi is scientifically reliable and can be applied for evaluating the quality of the geriatric discipline construction in general hospitals.
