Objective: To study the optimal technology for the purification of total flavones from Allium cepa L. by macroporous resin. Methods: Four different kinds of macroporous resins were studied using the static capacity of adsorption and desorption as the index, and the best resin was selected for the purification of the total flavones. The influencing factors of the best resin were also studied comprehensively. Results: The appropriate technological conditions were as follows: the sample concentration was 3.48 mg · ml -1, the ratio of sample and AB-8 macroporous resin was 2: 1 (V/V) , 3 BV of water was used as the purificant and 3 BV of 70% alcohol was used as the eluant. Conclusion: The average content of total flavones is 66. 84% , and the optimal procedure is simple and stable.
