Study on the relationship between the levels of miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p and glucose lipid metabolism and insulin resistance in women with gestational diabetes
Objective To investigate the correlation between miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p levels and glycolipid me-tabolism and insulin resistance in patients with gestational diabetes. Methods A total of 96 patients with gestational diabetes who were treated in the China Welfare Association International Peace Maternal and Child Health Hospital from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the research group, and 96 healthy pregnant women during the same period were selected as the control group, and the expression of serum miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p was detected by real-time real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).The Pearson method was used to analyze the correlation between serum miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p and the correlation between them and the indexes related to glycolipid metabolism and insulin resistance.Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of gestational diabetes. Results The serum miR-342-3p,miR-423-5p,fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting insulin(FINS),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and islet β cell function index(HOMA-β)were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).According to Pearson correlation analysis, serum miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p levels were positively correlated(P<0.05),serum miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p levels were positively correlated with FBG,FINS,TC,TG,LDL-C,HOMA-IR(P<0.05),and HDL-C and HOMA-β(P<0.05).According to logistic regression analysis, high expression of FBG,FINS,TC,TG,LDL-C,miR-342-3p,miR-423-5p,and decreased HDL-C were risk factors affecting gestational diabetes mellitus(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with gestational diabetes have abnormally elevated levels of miR-342-3p and miR-423-5p,which are associated with glycolipid metabolism and insulin resistance.
