JoinPoint regression analysis on the incidence trend of birth defects in Tengzhou city from 2015 to 2021
Objective To understand the current situation of birth defects in Tengzhou from 2015 to 2021,and to pro-vide reference basis for the prevention and control of birth defects in Tengzhou.Methods The data of perinatal infants born in Tengzhou from 2015 to 2021 were collected,and the JoinPoint model was used to analyze the change trend of birth defect inci-dence rate with average annual change percentage(AAPC)and annual change percentage(APC).Results There were 2390 peri-natal birth defects in Tengzhou from 2015 to 2021,with an average incidence rate of 1399.7 million.According to the analysis of JoinPoint model,the incidence rate of birth defects in 7 years showed an overall upward trend,with an average annual change percentage(AAPC)of 0.6%.This trend had a turning point in 2017,showing an obvious upward trend from 2015 to 2017,with an annual change percentage(APC)of 16.50%,a downward trend from 2017 to 2021,Annual percentage change(APC)is-6.51%.Birth defects are mostly male,the incidence rate of urban population is higher,and the age distribution is U-shaped.The incidence rate of mothers ≥35 years old and<20 years old is high.In the distribution of defects,congenital heart disease,polydactyly/toe and other malformations of external ear are the most common.Conclusion The incidence of birth defects in Tengzhou city showed an overall upward trend from 2015 to 2021,but there was a downward trend after 2017.The situation of birth defect pre-vention and control was good.Congenital heart disease,polydactyly,and other malformations of the external ear have a high inci-dence,which are still the key and difficult points of prevention and control.It is necessary to further strengthen the three-level pre-vention and scientifically implement the intervention measures to finally achieve the goal of reducing the incidence of birth defects.
