Gynecological malignancies are serious threats to the health of women,which is a major problem world-wide.Surgery-based comprehensive therapy with chemotherapy or radiotherapy is the main treatment principle for gyneco-logical malignant tumors.However,the prognosis of patients with advanced or recurrent cancer is poor.Novel and more ef-fective therapies need to be explored to prolong the survival and improve the prognosis.Intraoperative radiotherapy is a new treatment option that can directly kill the tumor cells,and minimize radiation damage to the surrounding tissue.For gyneco-logical malignant tumors,intraoperative radiotherapy+surgery+external radiotherapy/chemotherapy can effectively control the local recurrence of tumors,which has a promising application prospect.
