Analysis of the expression level of tissue lncRNA SNHG7 in ovarian cancer patients and its relationship with clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of long noncoding RNA small nucleolar RNA host gene 7(lncRNA SNHG7)in ovarian cancer tissues, and analyze the relationship between lncRNA SNHG7 with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer. Methods 135 ovarian cancer patients(ovarian cancer group)and 133 benign epithelial ovarian tumor patients(control group)admitted to the First People's Hospital of Xiantao City from July 2017 to July 2020 were selected as the research subjects,,the expression of lncRNA SNHG7 in ovarian tissues was measured by quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the relationship between lncRNA SNHG7 in cancer tissue with 3-year overall survival(OS)rate and progression free survival(PFS)rate.Analysis of risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer using Cox analysis. Results Elevated expression of lncRNA SNHG7 in cancer tissues of ovarian cancer group compared with control group(P<0.05).OS at 3 years was lower in patients with lncRNA SNHG7 high-expressing ovarian cancer(44.4%)than in patients with lncRNA SNHG7 low-expressing ovarian cancer(61.1%).PFS at 3 years was lower in patients with lncRNA SNHG7 high-expressing ovarian cancer(46.0%)than in patients with lncRNA SNHG7 low-expressing ovarian cancer(59.7%)(Log-Rank x2=6.359,P=0.012).FIGO stage, lymph node me-tastasis,residual tumor size, and lncRNA SNHG7 level were risk factors affecting the prognosis of ovarian cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion lncRNA SNHG7 was highly expressed in cancer tissues of ovarian cancer patients, which was related to the clinicopathology as well as the prognosis of patients, and was expected to be a prognostic factor for ovarian cancer patients.
