The clinical significance of upregulation of TGFB2 mRNA expression in placenta accreta spectrum disorders
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of transforming growth factor beta 2(TGFB2)mRNA expression in placenta accreta spectrum(PAS)disorders. Methods The placental tissues were collected from 3 patients with PAS and 5 normal pregnant women in the same period who dilivered in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical Uni-versity,and the samples were sequenced by high-throughput sequencing, and the internal mRNA sequencing results were ob-tained.3 TGFB2 expression datasets were screened from a public high-throughput database, and explored the expression dif-ferences of TGFB2 mRNA among the groups. Then, the standard mean deviation(SMD)of TGFB2 mRNA and the summary receiver operating characteristic(sROC)curve were integrated and calculated. Finally, internal sequencing data was integrated to further analyze the expression differences of TGFB2 mRNA between PAS and normal placenta tissue. Results The expres-sion levels of TGFB2 mRNA in the three datasets screened from public high-throughput databases and internal sequencing data were upregulated compared to the control group. The results of integrating three datasets showed that TGFB2 mRNA was significantly upregulated in PAS(SMD=1.02,95%CI=0.02-2.02).The results of the in-house sequencing confirmed that the expression of TGFB2 mRNA in PAS was significantly upregulated compared to normal placenta tissue(SMD=1.05,95%CI=0.47-1.64),with an area under the sROC curve of 0.87.Conclusion Highly expressed TGFB2 may promote the oc-currence of PAS,which is a potential biomarker.
