The indication distribution of cesarean section in a tertiary A hospital analyzed by using Robson Ten-Group Classification System
Objective Using Robson Ten-Group Classification System to analyze the rate and distribution of cesarean section in a provincial tertiary A hospital in four consecutive years,to provide a basis for reducing the cesarean section rate of people with different characteristics. Methods This paper took 7291 pregnant women who delivered in the hospital from January 1,2018 to December 31,2021 as the research object, conducted Robson Ten-Group Classification System, calculated the cesarean section rate and composition ratio of various puerpera, and analyzed the main indications of cesarean section. Results ①In 2018-2021,the rate of cesarean section is so high, the top three indications for cesarean section during the four years were:scarred uterus,22.47%(996/4432);maternal complications and complications,19.25%(853/4432);no indication cesarean section,16.54%(733/4432).②Using Robson Ten-Group Classification System to analyze and classify the research objects, the overall proportion of group 2 in Robson Ten-Group Classification System in 7291 pregnant women was the highest,29.35%(2140/7291).③Among 4432 women delivered by cesarean section, the highest composition ratio of group 2 was 42.33%(1876/4432).④The main indication of cesarean section in group 1 and 2a were abnormal labor, accounting for 37.11%(144/388)and 30.00%(12/40)respectively.The main indication of group 2b was no indication for cesarean section, accounting for 33.51%(616/1838).The main indication of group 5 was scar uterus, accounting for 85.64%(853/996).Conclusion The use of Robson Ten-Group Classification System to list the population characteristics and analyze the indica-tions of cesarean section is helpful for clinicians to formulate more effective and targeted diagnosis and treatment plans to control the overall cesarean section rate and promote maternal and child health.
