Analysis of the status quo and influencing factors of binary coping of parents of children with short stature
Objective To investigate the binary coping status of parents of children with short stature and analyze its influencing factors.Methods The parents of children with short stature who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University of Chinese People's Liberation Army from October 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects.The general data questionnaire,the dual coping inventory(DCI),the Locke-Wallace marital adjustment scale(LW-MAT),the caregiver burden inventory(CBI),and the parenting competence scale(PSOC)were used to investigate.Results A total of 127 valid questionnaires were collected in this study,and the total score of binary coping of parents of chil-dren with short stature was 126.09±4.10.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that family per capita monthly income,family structure,marital adjustment score,care burden score and parenting competence score were the in-fluencing factors of parents'binary coping in children with short stature(P＜0.05),which could explain 32.2％of the variation.Conclusion The level of binary coping of parents of children with short stature needs to be improved,which is closely related to family per capita monthly income,family structure,marital adjustment,care burden and parenting sense of competence.
