Correlation between microcalcification with expression of PTX3,BMP2 proteins in breast cancer
Objective To investigate the correlation between microcalcification with the expression of pentraxin-3(PTX3),bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP2)proteins in breast cancer.Methods A total of 143 patients with breast cancer who accepted by Handan Central hospital from July 2018 to July 2020 were regarded as the study subjects.According to the microcalcifications of breast cancer detected by ultrasound,they were separated into microcalcification group(n=87)and non microcalcification group(n=56).Immunohistochemical methods were applied to detect the expression levels of PTX3 and BMP2 proteins.Kaplan-Meier method was applied to analyze the relationship between the expression of PTX3,BMP2 with the prognosis of breast cancer patients with microcalcification.Multivariate Cox regression was used to analyze the prognostic factors of breast cancer patients with micro-calcification.Results The proportions of tumor diameter>5 cm,TNM stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ,and lymph node metastasis in the microcalcifica-tion group were obviously higher than those in the non microcalcification group(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of PTX3 and BMP2 in the microcalcification group(65.52%,71.26%)were obviously higher than those in the non microcalcification group(39.29%,48.21%)(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of patients with positive serum PTX3 expression(31.58%)was lower than that of patients with negative PTX3 expression(76.67%)(log rank x2=19.583,P<0.05);the 3 year-survival rate of patients with positive serum BMP2 expression(33.87%)was lower than that of patients with negative BMP2 expression(80.00%)(log rank x2=16.556,P<0.05).PTX3,BMP2,TNM stage,tumor diameter,and lymph node metastasis were the prognostic factors of breast cancer patients with microcalcification(P<0.05).Conclusion The positive expression rates of PTX3 and BMP in breast cancer patients with micro-calcification are obviously higher,which are closely related to the TNM stage,tumor diameter and lymph node metastasis of breast cancer patients with microcalcification,and are influential factors for the prognosis of breast cancer patients with microcalcification.
