Expression and clinical significance of miR-182-5p,IGFBP3,and FN1 in tissues of cervical cancer patients
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of microRNA-182-5p(miR-182-5p),insu-lin-like growth factor binding protein 3(IGFBP3),and fibronectin 1(FN1)in tissues of cervical cancer patients. Methods Cervi-cal cancer and adjacent tissue samples were collected from 104 cervical cancer patients who underwent surgical treatment in Shijiazhuang People's Hospital from March 2019 to March 2021,and the clinical pathological features such as patient age, tumor diameter, and clinical stage were organized.Real-time fluorescence quantification was applied to detect the relative expression levels of miR-182-5p in cervical cancer tissues and adjacent tissues.Immunohistochemistry was applied to detect the positive expression of IGFBP3 and FN1.The differences in the expression of miR-182-5p,IGFBP3,and FN1 between cervical cancer tissue and adjacent tissue, and the relationship between the expression of miR-182-5p,IGFBP3,and FN1 and the clinical and pathological features of patients were compared.Kaplan-Meier method was applied to analyze the relationship between miR-182-5p,IGFBP3,FN1 expression and prognosis.Cox regression was applied to analyze the factors influencing the prognosis of cervical cancer patients. Results Compared with adjacent tissues, the expression level of miR-182-5p was greatly higher, the positive expression rate of IGFBP3 was greatly lower, and the positive expression rate of FN1 was greatly higher in cervical cancer tissues(all P<0.05).The expression of miR-182-5p,IGFBP3,and FN1 in cervical cancer tissues was greatly correlated with clinical stage, pathological type, and pathological grading of patients(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of patients with low miR-182-5p expression was higher than that of patients with high miR-182-5p expression(P<0.05),the 3-year survival rate of patients with positive IGFBP3 expression was slightly higher than that of patients with negative ex-pression,and the 3-year survival rate of patients with positive FN1 expression was lower than that of patients with negative expression(P<0.05).Clinical staging, pathological grading, and miR-182-5p and FN1 expression in cervical cancer tissues were independent risk factors for death, while IGFBP3 expression was a protective factor(all P<0.05).Conclusion The rela-tive expression level of miR-182-5p is increased, the positive expression rate of IGFBP3 is decreased, and the positive ex-pression rate of FN1 is increased in the cancer tissue of cervical cancer patients.Detecting their expression levels in tissues can be used to evaluate the prognosis of cervical cancer patients in clinical practice.
