Association between rs855791 polymorphism of TMPRSS6 gene and pregnancy complications in pregnant women in Wenzhou area
Objective To analyze the relationship between rs855791 polymorphism of transmembrane serine protease 6(TMPRSS6)gene and susceptibility to gestational anemia and gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)in women of childbearing age in Wenzhou area.Methods A total of 333 pregnant women were selected from Wenzhou People's Hospital from March 2023 to July 2024.TMPRSS6 SNPs rs855791 was detected by pyrosequencing.Logistic regression model was used to analyze its rela-tionship with the risk of anemia and GDM in pregnancy.Results Logistic regression analysis showed that CT and TT genotypes at rs855791 of TMPRSS6 gene increased the risk of anemia(P＜0.05),and no significant association was found with the increased risk of GDM.Conclusion The TMPRSS6 gene rs855791 locus gene polymorphism is associated with the genetic susceptibility to anemia.
