Research and practice of mixed teaching mode under outcomes-based education(OBE)concept:Taking the course of medical genetics as an example
Objective To study the effect of outcomes-based education(OBE)teaching mode on clinical medicine students'learning of medical genetics course.Methods The research was conducted from March 2023 to July 2023.During this period,a total of 112 students from four classes of the 2022 clinical medicine major at Mudanjiang Medical University were selected as research subjects to participate in this study.According to the different places of classes were divided into observation group and control group,in which Observation Group of 52 people,60 people in the control group.Out-comes-based education(OBE)and traditional teaching mode of factual knowledge were used in the observation group and the control group respectively.After the teaching,compare and evaluate the differences between the two groups and analyze whether there is a significant difference between the observation group and the control group.Results The scores of theoreti-cal achievement(P<0.001),social practice ability(P=0.001),genetic counseling ability(P=0.001),experimental operation ability(P<0.001),SuperStarLearn platform(P<0.001)and OBE teaching model satisfaction(P<0.001)in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group.Conclusion The application of OBE teaching mode to study medical genetics can not only help clinical medicine students master the theory of medical genetics,but also help them to enhance the application of genetic knowledge and to improve the genetic-related operation skills.
