Objective:To study the effect of adding different degrees of maturity of Chinese fir sawdust to humus soil on the growth indices and active substances of Anoectochilus roxburghii.Methods:A.roxburghii was employed as the experimental material, and three treatments were established:100%humus soil beneath the forest(treatment A),40%mature fir sawdust + 60%undergrowth humus soil(treatment B),and 40%immature fir sawdust + 60%undergrowth humus soil(treatment C).Results:The highest survival rate of the A.roxburghii seedings in treatment B was 84.8%.The growth incre-ments of stem diameter, blade number, blade length, blade width, and root length surpassed the other two treatments.Flavone and alkaloid contents in A.roxburghii were 1.17%and 25.63%higher than treatment A,and 3.55%and 11.34%higher than treatment C.Conclusion:A.roxburghii growth was en-hanced by the combination of humus soil from beneath the forest with fir sawdust, with the most favor-able cultivation effect observed in treatment B(40%mature fir sawdust + 60%undergrowth humus soil),which was deemed worthy of further promotion.
