Objective:Two new recorded species of Poaceae in Xinjiang were reported. Methods:Two newly recorded species of Poaceae in Xinjiang were identified through field investigations, specimen collection, and morphological dissection, based on relevant data consulted. Results:The identification results showed that the two species were Hordeum jubatum and Cenchrus longispinus, both of which were exotic plants from Xinjiang.Among them,C.longispinus was a quarantine weed, and Cenchrus was a newly recorded genus in Xinjiang. Conclusion:This discovery was significant for studying the flora and species diversity of the Poaceae family in Xinjiang. It also provided a crucial basis and new data for the geographical distribution of the newly recorded genus and species,as well as the diffusion and effective monitoring of invasive weeds. The voucher specimens were deposited in the Herbarium of Xinjiang Agricultural University(XJA).
