Objective:To study the effects of magnesium chelate on the growth,yield and quality of Tagetes erecta.And the optimum application amount was selected.Methods:A single factor random block design was used with clean water as the control.And five concentration treatments were set up for foliar spraying.Results:Spraying 1 200 times liquid magnesium chelate had significant effect on flower diameter.The highest yield of liquid flower was 21 973.3 kg/hm2 after spraying 1 000 times,which was 49.5%higher than CK.The contents of flavonoids,polyphenols and lutein in the first and second crops were 50.09 mg/g,54.54 mg/g,6.86 mg/g and 58.48 mg/g,60.09 mg/g,7.82 mg/g,re-spectively.Ash,acid-insoluble ash,water-soluble extract and alcohol-soluble extract were 5.97%,0.48%,29.19%,25.82%and 5.74%,0.44%,28.33%,26.94%,respectively.Conclusion:Spraying magnesium chelate can promote the growth of T.erecta,improve its yield and quality.And 1 000 times liquid magnesium chelate was the best.
