Objective:To study the effect of different particle sizes of sprouting fungus on the second-ary sprouting status,the yield of different grades of Gastrodia elata and the content of effective compo-nents.Methods:The sprouting fungus cultivation seeds were broken into different sizes,and mixed with pollen seeds.After secondary sprouting,the fixed bed cultivation method was used for cultivation.After the all G.elata were harvested,whose parameters were analyzed including the yield of different grades of G.elata,agronomic traits,and content of effective components.Furthermore,the correla-tion and principal component of G.elata were analysed.Results:When the particle size of germinating bacteria was 3~4.5 cm,whose the secondary germination arised the different states including the blocks,the compact hyphae,the white,the high yield and the strong aroma.When the particle size was 4.5 cm,the total yield and the total output value were the highest.When the particle size was 6 cm,the weight of grade 1 G.elata was the highest at 373.67 g,accounting for the highest proportion at 29.97% .In terms of graded sales,the total production of commercial grade G.elata was highest when the particle size of the sprouting fungus was 4.5 cm.Comparing the market prices,it was found that the value of commercial grade G.elata was higher after graded sales.For the same treatment,the sales val-ue increased by 16.84~61.59 yuan/m2 after graded sales,and the increase in sales value was highest for a particle size of 6 cm,reaching 61.59 yuan/m2.With the increase in particle size of the sprouting fungus,the average weight,length,width,thickness,number of point-like transverse rings and ar-row bud length of commercial grade G.elata showed a gradual increase,while the length-width ratio gradually decreased.The content of gastrodin and total hydroxybenzyl alcohol showed an increasing trend followed by a decreasing trend,reaching the maximum value at a particle size of 3 cm.The total content of balioside showed an increasing trend followed by a decreasing trend,reaching the maximum value at a particle size of 1.5 cm.Pearson correlation analysis found that the weight of G.elata had a significant positive correlation with the length,width,and thickness of the tuber,and had a significant negative correlation with the aspect ratio.The principal component analysis results showed that the cu-mulative variance contribution rate of the first three principal components was 92.015% .Conclusion:When G.elata underwent sexual reproduction,a particle size of 3~4.5 cm was more suitable,as it re-sulted in higher economic benefits and higher content of effective components.
