Objective:It was rich in endangered and rare medicinal plants in Liupan Mountain.In order to define the priority protection level of endangered and rare medicinal plants and provide the basis for their reasonable protection,the resources of endangered and rare medicinal plants were investigated in Liupan Mountain.Methods:Field route survey,sample survey and literature survey were used.Priori-ty protection value of each endangered and rare plant was calculated quantitatively by using the evalua-tion index of seven priority protection levels.And the priority protection sequence of endangered and rare species in Liupan Mountain was determined.Results:There were 53 species of endangered and rare medicinal plants in 25 families,39 genera in Liupan Mountain,including 4 species of protection grade I,7 species of protection grade Ⅱ and 42 species of protection grade Ⅲ.The main endangerment causes of endangered and rare medicinal plants in Liupan Mountain were their biological characteristics and excessive human interference.Conclusion:The endangered and rare medicinal plants need urgent protection in Liupan Mountain.Protection work should be carried out according to the protection grade and the local conditions.
