The application and cultivation of lilies have had a long history in our country. They have been recognized as an important dual-purpose plant for both medicinal and culinary uses, and also as a significant wild resource in China.Lilies are widely planted worldwide due to theirs excellent ornamen-tal,edible,and medicinal value. However, the non-medicinal parts that have been produced in large quantities have been discarded as waste for a long time, which not only pollute the environment but al-so cause resource waste to a certain extent.Studies have shown that the non-medicinal parts of lilies are rich in compounds such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, and polysaccharides, possessing antioxi-dant,anti-inflammatory,liver-protective,and hypoglycemic properties. Therefore,to promote the ef-fective utilization and sustainable development of these resources, this paper reviews the active compo-nents and the current status of resource utilization of lilies'stems, leaves, flowers, and bulbils. The aim is to provide references for further research,as well as for the industrialization, development, and utilization of these resources.Additionally,it offers insights and references for enhancing the ecologi-cal function of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)ecological agriculture while fostering its economic potential through ecological functions.
