Objective:To provide theoretical support for the planting technology and resource protec-tion of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis.Methods:The content of six phenolic acids(p-coumaric ac-id,chlorogenic acid, syringic acid, vanillic acid,p-hydroxybenzoic acid, ferulic acid)in 17 samples of cultivated P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis rhizosphere soil from different areas, were determined by ultra performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)method. The contents of these six phenolic acids in the soil were also analyzed by correlation analysis and cluster analysis. Results:The phenolic acid con-tent in most rhizosphere soil samples of cultivated P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis was in descending or-der:p-coumaric acid, chlorogenic acid, syringic acid, vanillic acid,p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and fe-rulic acid. There was a significant positive correlation between the contents of these six phenolic acids. The cluster analysis showed that the content of six phenolic acids in the rhizosphere soil of P.polyphyl-la var.yunnanensis from different areas could be grouped into three categories.Among them, first cate-gory included S1,S2,S4,S5,S7,S8,S9 and S13-S17,with the highest content of p-coumaric ac-id followed by the content of chlorogenic acid, and the content of each phenolic acid was also high; The second category was S10,in which the overall content of phenolic acid was relatively high,espe-cially the contents of syringic acid and p-coumaric acid; The third category was S3,S6,S11 and S12,with the highest content of chlorogenic acid followed by p-coumaric acid, but the overall phenolic acid content was low. Conclusion:The content and variation patterns of phenolic acids in rhizosphere soil of P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis from different areas were similar, and there is a general positive correla-tion between the contents of different phenolic acids.
