Objective:To find out the current situation of plant resources and their medicinal use in Lin-zhou County, provide scientific support for the sustainable development and utilization of resources, and provide basic data for subsequent scientific research. Methods:Project team relied on the Chinese materia medica resources survey team, according to the technical plan of the fourth national materia medica resources survey, and adopted the transect+quadrat survey method to conduct a comprehen-sive and systematic survey of plants in Linzhou County, and collected samples. Results:Linzhou Coun-ty originally had 136 species of plants belonging to 77 genera and 35 families. In this survey,a total of 329 species belonging to 174 genera and 61 families were investigated. There were 47 mutual species in these two investigation, and the intersection proportion was not large. After analyzing the Linzhou County survey directory, except that a few families were violently differentiated to adapt to the plateau climate and formed the dominant and characteristic families on the plateau, which constituted the com-mon ground cover plants, the differentiation of most other families were weak. There were 2 species of wild medicinal materials and 7 species of wild plants under national key protection,260 species were included in The Evaluation of China Biodiversity Red List-Higher Plants, including 90 species endem-ic to China, accounting for 34.62%of the total varieties included. In the catalogue of plant resources in Linzhou County, the Chinese Pharmacopoeia contained 13 families and 15 species, and the standard of Tibetan Medicinal Materials in Tibet Autonomous Region contained 15 families and 23 species.Provin-cial new records,a total of 4 families and 8 species. There were significant differences in species diver-sity and repeatability under different vegetation types, among which coniferous forest vegetation type were the best. There were significant differences in species diversity under different altitude gradients, but no significant difference in species repeatability, with the rise of altitude, species diversity gradual-ly increased, under the fourth step(4 685~4 984 m),species diversity reached the highest, and then began to decline in the fifth step(4 985~5 345 m).Conclusion:This survey was the largest and most detailed plant background survey in Linzhou County so far.Linzhou County had abundant plant re-sources and Tibetan medicine diversity, but some medicinal resources were seriously threatened. It was necessary to increase scientific research investment, and focused on artificial cultivation and resource substitution,in order to protect plant diversity and promote the sustainable development of the Tibetan medicine industry.
