摘要
在现代汉语中,"不折不扣"和"十足"既有表量的用法,也都能传达说话人的主观肯定评价.在表达说话人的主观评价时,既能突显体词性成分的属性,也能突显关系命题,两种用法的由来与量范畴密切相关."不折不扣"和"十足"具有相同的两条演变路径:1)量＞量;2)量＞质＞情态.前一条路径主要由隐喻决定;后一条路径里,转喻与完形认知共同触发了"量＞质"的演变,主观化则贯穿了整条路径的始终,为肯定认识情态用法的产生奠定重要基础."质"是由量范畴向情态范畴演变的一个重要过渡阶段,后续研究应该加以重视.
Abstract
In Mandarin Chinese,both buzhebukou(不折不扣)and shizu(十足)convey the speaker's subjective affirmation.The origins of buzhebukou and shizu are closely related to the category of quantity and the two words share the same two paths of semantic evolution:1)quantity＞quantity;2)quantity＞quality＞modality.Metaphor plays a key role in the first path whereas metonymy and cognitive gestalt triggered the change from quantity to quality in the second.Besides,subjectification was an influential factor throughout the second path which laid the foundation for their transition into a modal marker.The category of quality seems to be a significant transition between quantity and modality which requires further studies.
