According to Yaxontov,in Old Chinese,a glide[r]exists in graves of second division,the Zhuang(庄)initials and Chongniu(重纽)type B.Baxter believes that Zhi(知)initials also contain a glide[r].This paper supports Yaxontov's argument by reconstructing the Zhi group initials and proposes that they were derived from the type T consonants and consonant clusters of type KR and type KL in Old Chinese.
