In Han Bamboo-Slip manuscripts,many words and characters are misinterpreted and applied as early documentary evidences for the compilation of authoritative dictionaries.This paper focuses on some specific characters and proposes the followings.In the Han bamboo slips Shen wufu(神乌赋)unearthed from Yinwan(尹湾),(正)should be"丐"and reads as mian(面),(种) is"射"which reads as xie(谢).In Juyan(居延)bamboo slips,(報)and(塂)should be interpreted as"榖"and"烧".In the Jianshui Jinguan(肩水金关)bamboo slips,(抠)should be"(木丏)"which is pronounced as mian(绵)and characters(書)and(美)are actually the vemacular written forms of mei(眉)and mang(莽)respectively.Besides,(无)should be interpreted as"孤"which is pronounced as gu(估).
