Research progress of neuromuscular blocking agents
Neuromuscular blocking agents(NMBAs),also known as muscle relaxants, which can disrupt the synaptic transmission at neuromuscular junctions and thus induce muscle paralysis. In clinical practice,NMBAs are commonly used to assist tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation, and provide relaxation of skeletal muscles during surgery. In this paper, the research progress of NMBAs in recent years was summarized, their pharmacological characteristics according to the structural features of the compounds were analyzed, the problems faced in current research were discussed, and a prospect to the research directions in the future was given. This review will serve as a reference for the research and development of new NMBAs.
