Study on Effect of Montelukast Sodium Combined with Fluticasone Furoate in Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone furoate in the treatment of allergic rhinitis(AR)and its effect on long-term recurrence risk..Methods:A retrospective analysis was made on 70 AR patients admitted to otolaryngology department of Tianjin Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Institute. The patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with montelukast sodium, while the observation group was treated with fluticasone furoate nasal spray for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, serum inflammatory factors and recurrence 6 months after treatment were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the scores of nasal itching, runny nose, sneezing and nasal congestion in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum IL-6,IL-8 and IL-10 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone furoate is effective in the treatment of AR,which can reduce the risk of recurrence by improving serum inflammatory factors and improve the quality of life of patients.
