Study on the Correlation Between Cardiovascular Disease Risk Perception and Medication Compliance in Patients with Hypertension in Community
Objective:To explore the correlation between cardiovascular disease risk perception and medication compliance in community hypertensive patients. Methods:A total of 532 hypertensive patients from 6 communities in Zhengzhou were selected as the research subjects. The single-item cardiovascular disease risk perception assessment tool,Morisky medication compliance questionnaire, and medication compliance self-efficacy scale for hypertensive patients were used to investigate. Results:The absolute risk perception score for cardiovascular disease in 532 community hypertensive patients was 3.00(1.00,5.00)scores,including 293 low-risk cases(55.08%),194 medium risk cases(36.46%),and 45 high-risk cases(8.46%).In terms of relative risk perception,86 cases(16.16%),93 cases(17.48%),172 cases(32.33%),125 cases(23.50%),and 56 cases(10.53%)of community hypertensive patients believed that their risk was far below, below, equal to,above, and far above the reference standard, respectively. The total score of medication compliance was(5.29±1.84)scores,including 238 cases(44.74%)with poor compliance,219 cases(41.16%)with moderate compliance, and 75 cases(14.10%)with high compliance. The self-efficacy score of medication compliance in patients with hypertension was(29.25±6.21)scores.The total score of cardiovascular disease risk perception was positively correlated with the total score of medication compliance and the total score of medication compliance self-efficacy(r=0.579,0.655,P<0.001).Conclusion:The risk perception of cardiovascular disease in patients with hypertension in the community is positively correlated with medication compliance. In order to strengthen the standardized management of patients with hypertension in the community, medical staff should accurately evaluate and improve the level of risk perception of cardiovascular disease in patients.
