Effect of IMB-guided Nursing Intervention During Drug Treatment After Endoscopic Surgery of Gastric Polyps
Objective:To explore the effect of information-motivation-behavioral(IMB)guided nursing intervention during the application of proton pump inhibitors after endoscopic surgery for gastric polyps. Methods:Eighty patients with gastric polyps who underwent endoscopic argon ion coagulation treatment in the hospital from September 2021 to September 2023 were randomly divided into control group(n=40)and observation group(n=40).All patients were treated with proton pump inhibitors after surgery.During this period, the control group received routine health education, while the observation group received IMB guided nursing intervention. Both groups received a 4-week intervention. The mastery of medication knowledge, medication compliance, and self-management ability before and after intervention between two groups[Adult Health Self Management Ability Scale(AHSMSRS)score]were compared. Results:The overall mastery of medication knowledge in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The overall medication adherence of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of self-management behavior, cognition and environment in both groups were higher with those before intervention, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:IMB-guided nursing intervention can improve the mastery of medication knowledge, medication compliance and self-management ability of patients with proton pump inhibitors after endoscopic surgery of gastric polyps.
