Effect of Xiao'er Resuqing Granules Combined with Amoxicillin in the Treatment of Acute Suppurative Tonsillitis
Objective:To explore the effect of Xiao'er Resuqing Granules combined with amoxicillin on peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets in children with acute suppurative tonsillitis(AST).Methods:A total of 82 children with AST admitted to our hospital from November 2019 to October 2021 were included in the study. They were divided into amoxicillin group(41 children)and combination group(41 children)by random number table method. The treatment period of the two groups was 10 days. The treatment effectiveness, symptom regression time(tonsil enlargement, sore throat, high fever, purulent secretions),T lymphocyte subsets(CD4+,CD8+)and adverse drug reactions(vomiting, diarrhea, rash, abnormal liver function)were compared between the two groups. Results:The effective rate of the combination group was higher than that of the amoxicillin group(P<0.05).The time of tonsil enlargement, pharyngeal pain, body temperature rise and purulent secretion regression in the combination group were shorter than those in the amoxicillin group(P<0.05).The level of CD4+ in the combination group was higher than that in the amoxicillin group, and the level of CD8+ was lower than that in the amoxicillin group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the combination group was 14.63%,which was compared with 9.76%in the amoxicillin group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Xiao'er Resuqing Granules can effectively improve the therapeutic effect of AST,improve the symptom response and immune function of children, and does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions.
