Effect of Root Canal Filling with Different Root Paste for Patients with Chronic Pulpitis
Objective:To explore the effect of root canal filling with different root pastes on its efficacy in patients with chronic pulpitis. Methods:A total of 89 patients with chronic pulpitis admitted to the Department of Stomatology of our hospital from August 2019 to December 2022 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into oxonidazole group(45 patients)and control group(44 patients). The control group was treated with metronidazole iodoform for root canal filling paste, and the ornidazole group was treated with ornidazole iodoform for root canal filling paste. The therapeutic effect, gingival index, attachment loss index, inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)]were compared between the two groups. Results:After 1 month of treatment, the total effective rate of the ornidazole group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The gingival index and attachment loss index in the ornidazole group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6 and IL-8 in the ornidazole group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ornidazole iodoform root canal filling paste has a good therapeutic effect in patients with chronic pulpitis, which can reduce the gingival index and attachment loss index, inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors, and continuously improve the prognosis.
