Observation on the Effect of Ulinastatin Combined with Glucocorticoid in the Treatment of Severe Pneumonia
Objective:To analyze the effects of glucocorticoid combined with ulinastatin on oxidative stress and serum inflammatory mediators in patients with severe pneumonia. Methods:A total of 126 patients with severe pneumonia treated in our hospital from March 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into observation group and control group, with 63 patients in each group. The control group was treated with glucocorticoid, and the observation group was treated with ulinastatin on the basis of the control group. The serum inflammatory mediators[interleukin(IL)-6,tumor necrosis factor(TNF),procalcitonin,C-reactive protein]and oxidative stress indexes[superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),malondialdehyde(MDA)]were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the levels of SOD and GSH-Px in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of MDA,IL-6,TNF,procalcitonin and C-reactive protein were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Glucocorticoid combined with ulinastatin can improve the degree of oxidative stress and reduce the inflammatory response in patients with severe pneumonia.
