Research Progress on the Immunomodulatory Effect and Mechanism of Palmar Rhubarb on Intestinal Mucosa in Patients with Psoriasis Vulgaris
Psoriasis vulgaris is an immune-related chronic recurrent inflammatory skin disease and the most common type of psoriasis. In recent years, studies have shown that intestinal mucosal immune regulation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. The intestine is not only the largest immune organ in the human body, but also a key site for the onset of psoriasis. The disruption of the intestinal mucosal barrier, imbalance of gut microbiota, and abnormal regulation of immune cells and related cytokines may all lead to the occurrence and development of psoriasis. Therefore, studying the role of intestinal mucosal immune regulation in the pathogenesis of psoriasis is of great significance for finding new treatment strategies. In traditional medicine,Rhubarb Palm Leaf has the multiple effects of writing down and attacking accumulation, clearing heat and fire, cooling blood and detoxifying, removing blood stasis and clearing menstruation, and inducing dampness and removing yellowish discolouration, etc. It has been widely used in the treatment of a variety of diseases. In recent years, with the development of modern science and technology,it has been discovered that Rheum palmatum contains various active ingredients,Such as anthraquinones, anthraquinones, flavonoids, polysaccharides active ingredients. These ingredients have various biological activities such as anti-inflammatory,antibacterial,and antioxidant properties. Therefore, palmar rhubarb has great potential in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis. This study provides a review of the research progress on the immunomodulatory effect and mechanism of palmar rhubarb on the intestinal mucosa of patients with psoriasis vulgaris.
