Effect of Vestibular Rehabilitation Training Under Immersive Virtual Reality Technology During Drug Treatment in Patients with Otolith Vertigo
Objective:To explore the effect of vestibular rehabilitation training under immersive virtual reality technology in patients with otolith vertigo during betahistine tablets treatment period.Methods:From January 2021 to December 2023,86 patients with otolith vertigo treated with betahistine tablets in our hospital were selected and divided into study group(43 patients)and reference group(43 patients)according to the random number table method.The reference group was treated with routine vestibular rehabilitation training,and the study group was treated with vestibular rehabilitation training under immersive virtual reality technology.The compliance of rehabilitation training,vertigo symptoms[Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)],living ability[Vestibular Activities of Daily Living(VADL)],and adverse emotions[Anxiety Scale(HADS-A),Depression Scale(HADS-B)]were compared between the two groups.Results:The compliance of rehabilitation training in the study group was higher than that in the reference group(P<0.05).The DHI score,HADS-A score and HADS-B score of the study group at 7 d and 14 d after intervention were lower than those of the reference group,and the VADL score was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The implementation of vestibular rehabilitation training under immersive virtual reality technology in the treatment of patients with otolith vertigo with betahistine tablets is helpful to improve the rehabilitation training compliance of patients,relieve vertigo symptoms,improve living ability,eliminate anxiety and depression,and the application effect is good.
