Effect of Metoprolol Succinate Combined with Torasemide and Enalapril in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Hypertension and Heart Failure
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of metoprolol succinate combined with torasemide and enalapril in the treatment of elderly hypertensive patients with heart failure. Methods:A total of 120 elderly patients with hypertension and heart failure in our hospital from January 2021 to May 2023 were selected and divided into study group and routine group according to the random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. The routine group was treated with torasemide and enalapril, and the study group was treated with metoprolol succinate on the basis of the routine group. The clinical efficacy, incidence of adverse reactions, heart rate before and after treatment, blood pressure[24 h mean systolic blood pressure(24hSBP),24 h mean diastolic blood pressure(24hDBP)],cardiac function[left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)],6 min walking test index, serum nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)levels were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 93.33%,which was higher than that of the conventional group 80.00%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the 24hSBP,24hDBP and heart rate of the study group were lower than those of the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,LVEDD and LVESD in the study group were smaller than those in the conventional group,LVEF was higher than that in the conventional group, and the distance of 6 min walking test was longer than that in the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum NF-κB and BNP in the study group were lower than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Metoprolol succinate combined with torasemide and enalapril in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension and heart failure can improve the curative effect, effectively control blood pressure, improve cardiac function, improve activity endurance, and do not increase adverse reactions.
