Effect of Ozone Assisted Clotrimazole Vaginal Tablets in the Treatment of Recurrent Vulvovaqinal Candidiasis
Objective:To investigate the effect of ozone combined with clotrimazole vaginal tablets on clinical symptoms and sex hormone levels in patients with recurrent vulvovaqinal candidiasis(VVC).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to select 106 patients with VVC admitted to the hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 as the research objects.According to the treatment methods,they were divided into control group(n=53)and observation group(n=53).The control group was treated with clotrimazole vaginal tablets,and the observation group was treated with ozone on the basis of the control group.The clinical symptom relief(leucorrhea abnormality,vulva pruritus,urination pain,waist and abdomen pain),inflammatory factor levels[interleukin-2(IL-2),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin-8(IL-8)],estrogen levels[follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)],vaginal pH value,vaginal cleanliness score and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:On the 14th day of treatment,the incidence of clinical symptoms in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of IL-2,TNF-α and IL-8 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The level of FSH in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the level of E2 was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The normal rate of vaginal pH value in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The score of vaginal cleanliness in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment,there was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ozone combined with clotrimazole vaginal tablets can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of VVC patients,regulate estrogen levels,reduce inflammation,improve the vaginal environment,and do not significantly increase adverse reactions.
